Messaging Systems
Cloud based platforms like Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) and Google Workspace (formerly G Suite) offer a range of services such as email communication, collaboration, and productivity for your business. As Microsoft offers a wider range of services to include but not limited to security, it is Bit One IT Solutions’ cloud messaging system of choice. Before these cloud services were offered, businesses had to self-host a professional email system by purchasing server hardware & licensing, licensing or an email system such as Microsoft Exchange, or if you’ve been around long enough you may remember Lotus Notes. We have successfully migrated many environments to Microsoft 365, with the most common scenarios being from Google to Microsoft. However, if your business is using and is happy with Google workspace, we will happily manage and maintain a healthy Google Workspace environment with our Managed IT & Security Services.
Key components of messaging systems are:

Microsoft 365 is a suite of applications and services that includes familiar tools like Word, Excel, and Outlook, along with cloud-based services like Microsoft Teams and OneDrive. It allows businesses to create, share, and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in real-time. Microsoft Teams facilitates team communication through chat, video conferencing, and file sharing. The platform also offers email services, cloud storage, and robust security features to protect sensitive business data. SharePoint is a collaboration tool by Microsoft that focuses on content and document management. It provides a centralized location for storing and sharing documents, as well as creating intranet sites and portals for better team collaboration. SharePoint allows businesses to organize, access, and collaborate on documents and data securely. It also integrates with other Microsoft 365 tools and offers customizable workflows and access controls.

Google Workspace formerly known as G Suite, is a suite of cloud-based productivity and collaboration tools provided by Google. It includes Gmail for email, Google Drive for file storage and sharing, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides for document creation, and Google Meet for video conferencing. Google Workspace is known for its simplicity and real-time collaboration features, making it easy for teams to work together on documents and communicate through email and video meetings.
